The facilitating role of religious psychology

There has always been a huge gap between theology and other sciences in terms of worldview. The birth of the psychology of religion has brought a new link between sciences, overcoming the differences in worldviews and bringing them together on the basis of objectivity. William James was a prominent figure in this linkage, laying foundations that are still recognised today. The study of religious experiences raises countless questions, but research to date has shown that not only do these studies benefit science, but they also help to preserve the religious and mental health of various religious communities.
