Interreligious relations

Abstract

. In the framework of an empirical research in the sociology of religion between believers and non-believers, as well as Christians of different denominations, laymen and clerics we examined a) where do they draw the line between true faith and heresy, b) how open are they to the more or less accepted (“official”) Christian teaching through interfaith rapprochement, c) how do they relate to Christian ideas that are radically open in this regard (“avant-garde”). In the second stage of the research, we examined what values believers and non-believers see in religions they are sympathetic to;  b) what are the questions, problems, tasks that they feel could only be solved with the help of religious people, or in one way or another, c) do they consider it necessary for followers of different religions to approach each other, d) in their opinion, what hinders inter-religious rapprochement between Protestants and Catholics, Christians and Jews, Christians and non-Christians.
